Die-Cut
Precision cut to your design
Die-cut stickers are cut through both the sticker and the backing, so each sticker has the exact shape of your design. Kiss-cut stickers are cut through the sticker only, so the backing stays intact around it.
Both are cut along the shape of your design. The difference is how deep the cut goes.
Die-cut stickers
The cut goes through both the sticker material and the backing paper. Each sticker is a separate piece in the exact shape of your design.
Clean, custom look with no extra backing around it
Good when the shape of the sticker is part of the design

Kiss-cut stickers
The cut goes through the sticker material only. The backing paper stays whole, with a margin around the sticker.
The edge of the backing makes the sticker easy to peel
The backing can carry extra space around the design
Several kiss-cut stickers can share one backing, as on sticker sheets and singles on sheet

Which one should I choose?
Choose die-cut if you want the sticker to be its own shape. Choose kiss-cut if you want an easy peel, a backing with room around the design, or several stickers on one sheet. Our guide Die-Cut, Kiss-Cut & Through Cut Explained shows the difference with pictures.
