Materials

How a label looks and performs depends on three separate things: the material (its appearance and physical properties), the adhesive (how it attaches), and the finish (the surface treatment applied over the print). Our Label materials use PP, PET, or Kraft Paper as their base, and the finish options depend on the material. This page covers materials and finishes for Labels only. Stickers and Decals have their own material and finish systems.

StickerApp's Label materials use Permanent adhesive.

Our standard opaque white Label material.

A transparent PP material. With a white layer printed behind the artwork, you can make selected areas opaque and keep other areas transparent.

A metallic PP material with a reflective, silver appearance. You can use white ink behind selected parts of the artwork to control where the metallic material shows through.

A natural kraft paper material.

• Family: Kraft Paper

• Available finishes: Uncoated only

A finish goes over the printed Label material. It adds protection and gives the label its final look and feel. The finishes available to you depend on the material you choose.

Glossy Laminate A glossy laminate finish. Laminate provides stronger protection against water, oil, chemicals, and abrasion, and includes UV protection.

Matte Laminate A matte laminate finish. Laminate provides stronger protection against water, oil, chemicals, and abrasion, and includes UV protection.

Varnish A lighter, cost-efficient protective coating with a glossy or matte appearance. Varnish offers lighter protection than laminate.

Uncoated No laminate or varnish is applied. This works when you don't need a protective layer, such as for dry goods, short-lifecycle labels, or cost-sensitive applications.
